How to Design a Logo: The Process, Pricing, and Tips | Koçan Creative
A logo is the first point of contact with your brand. Before a website, before a social media post, and often even before your product, your logo is the first thing people see. Therefore, logo design should not be considered a "quick fix," but rather a strategic investment that shapes the long-term perception of your brand. Why is a Good Logo Important? A logo is not just a visual sign — it directly affects the brand's memorability, perception of reliability, and differentiation from competitors. A well-designed logo:
- Works consistently across different media (web, social media, signage, packaging)
- Maintains readability at small sizes (favicon, social media profile picture)
- The brand's sector; and makes its character felt at first glance.
- It has a structure that will not become outdated over time and is not dependent on fashion trends.
How Should the Logo Design Process Work?
A professional logo design The following steps should be included in the process:
- Brand discovery: Target audience, sector, competitor analysis and brand "Personality" is discussed.
- Concept Production: Not a single logo, but multiple concepts representing different aspects are presented (3 concepts at Koçan Creative).
- Revision: Fine-tuning is done on the selected concept with a specified number of revision rights.
- If any of these steps are skipped (especially brand discovery and source file delivery), serious problems may arise later — For example, the vector file may not be found during logo registration, or the logo may be inconsistent with the brand identity.
What to Consider When Getting a Logo Design?
- Are source files included? Not just PNG/JPEG, editable vector formats (AI/EPS) must be part of the delivery.
- How many? Is a concept being presented? Processes that start with a single concept generally do not yield the best possible result for the brand.
